Hydraulic Packing Cube

The Sea to Summit Hydraulic Packing Cube is a fully RF-welded packing cube in TPU-laminated ripstop, built to keep clothes and kit dust-free and dry through splashes. A translucent window shows what is inside, PU-coated zips and welded seams keep grit out to an IP6X dust rating, and welded Hypalon grab handles let you lift it out of a bag or lash it down.

What it is

A tougher take on the packing cube. Instead of stitched fabric, the cube is completely RF-welded, and Sea to Summit says the welded seams and PU-coated zips keep the elements out. It sorts a duffel, a backpack or a bike bag into a few clean, labelled-by-sight bundles.

Who it's for

Travellers and campers heading somewhere dusty or damp: the red dirt of the Kimberley, a sandy beach camp on Fraser Island, a boat ramp in the rain. If your trips are all hotel-to-hotel, a light mesh cube will do; the Hydraulic earns its place when the conditions turn rough.

Water-resistant means the zip withstands splashes, but not submersion. For anything that goes in the water, pack the cube inside a dry bag.

Looking after it

Wipe the laminate clean with warm water and a little dishwashing liquid. After a sandy trip, Sea to Summit recommends cleaning the zip and treating it with a zip lubricant.
