Komperdell FX Lite Ti Vario Compact Trekking Poles
own it from $10/wk
Description
Description
This is the one that disappears. 38 cm folded is the smallest packed size in the FX Lite range, which puts it inside a running vest, a carry-on bag or the lid pocket of a pack - and it still adjusts through a 20 cm band.
The smallest fold in the range
38 cm. For comparison the Vario Summit folds to 41 cm and the Approach to 40 cm. If your problem is where to put the poles when you are not using them - on a via ferrata, on a flight, on a scramble - this is the pole that solves it.
Click and fix
The FX Lite mechanism pulls the four sections together by itself. Close the Powerlock 3.0 at your length and go. On a route where the poles come out and go away repeatedly, that speed is the whole reason to own a folding pole.
A short, workable band
105 to 125 cm suits shorter walkers and anyone who runs their poles short on steep ground. The Trek Pro 245 grip carries an extended grip zone so you can choke down further still on a pinch.
Weight
478 g the pair (239 g per pole).
