Frontier UL One Pot Cook Set - [3 Piece] 1.3L Pot
Description
Description
The Sea to Summit Frontier UL One Pot Cook Set is a complete kitchen for one: a 1.3 L Frontier pot to cook in, a Passage bowl to eat from and a Passage cup for the brew, all packed one inside the other. The set weighs 341 g, and the pot's reversed handle locks it into a single tidy bundle.
Who it's for
Solo walkers and bike tourers who want to cook a real dinner and sit down to eat it out of a bowl. It suits a first overnight hike as neatly as a week on the Larapinta, and we stock it because it answers the whole question of what to cook in, eat from and drink out of with one purchase.
Capacity and what it cooks
- 1.3 L Frontier pot: enough to cook a one-person pasta or rice dish, or to boil water for a dehydrated meal and a hot drink at the same time.
- Passage bowl: the small bowl in the Passage range, for dinner, porridge or noodles.
- Passage cup: for tea, coffee or soup.
Strainer holes in the lid let you drain pasta water without taking the lid off.
Materials and heat
The pot is hard-anodised aluminium alloy, which spreads a stove's heat quickly and evenly so less gas goes into each meal. Inside, a ceramic non-stick coating keeps rice and pasta from welding to the base, and it is PTFE-free. The handle is stainless steel.
The bowl and cup are EU food-grade, glass-reinforced polypropylene. Their Cool-Grip sidewalls stay comfortable to hold with hot soup or tea inside, and both are fine in a microwave once you are home. The curve where the bowl's wall meets its base follows the shape of a Sea to Summit spoon or spork, so the last mouthful scrapes out easily.
Every piece is BPA-free and non-PFAS.
Packing and nesting
The bowl and cup sit inside the pot, the lid goes on and the Click Safe handle swings over the top to clamp everything shut. Nothing rattles, and nothing escapes into the bottom of your pack. There is also room around them in the pot for small items such as a spoon or a sachet of coffee.
Handles and safety
The Click Safe handle snaps onto the pot with a click you can hear, and once it has clicked you can lift a full pot of boiling water with confidence. It comes off for packing and fits any other Frontier pot. The silicone LidKeep on the lid hooks over the rim, so the lid hangs on the side of the pot while you stir instead of sitting in the dirt. Cook on a camp stove, not an open fire.
Cleaning
Wash the pot and lid by hand: dishwasher detergent attacks the anodised finish. The bowl and cup can go straight in the dishwasher.
