Cliffhanger MIPS Open Face Helmet - Small Only
Description
Description
The ABUS CliffHanger MIPS is the helmet ABUS build for steep, rough trail riding on an enduro bike: open-face, well ventilated and held firmly in place by a mountain bike fit system. This listing is size Small, for heads measuring 51-55 cm, in Shiny White or Concrete Grey.
What it is
An in-mould mountain bike helmet. The EPS foam liner is foamed straight into a three-part polycarbonate outer shell, and that shell wraps around the lower edge to guard against scratches, knocks and wear. Inside sits a MIPS layer: a thin plastic shell between the padding and the foam that is there to counteract rotational forces in the event of a fall. ABUS state that MIPS can reduce energy by up to 40 percent in an oblique impact.
Who it's for
Trail and enduro riders in the 51-55 cm head range who want MIPS, a protected lower edge and a peak they can move. The ponytail opening in the adjuster makes it a good fit for riders with long hair, buns or braids. We stock it because it is ABUS's flagship trail helmet.
