Description
The Cardo Packtalk Pro is Cardo's flagship mesh intercom, and the only one with crash detection, sold here as a single unit. One headset, with its mount, speakers and microphone.
Crash detection
A sensor in the unit feels what your head feels. If it reads an impact as a crash it sends an emergency notification on your behalf, which matters most in exactly the situation where you cannot reach a phone. Cardo enable it region by region, so it is worth checking your own is on the list.
Sound, and why 45 mm matters
45 mm JBL speakers, the largest Cardo fit to anything. Speaker diameter is most of what separates intercoms once you are moving: a bigger driver moves more air, which is how you hear a conversation over wind at highway speed without pushing the volume into distortion.
Mesh, not pairing
Dynamic Mesh Communication builds the group itself. Up to 31 riders, and when somebody drops out of range the network closes around them and re-joins them when they return - nobody stops to re-pair. That is the whole argument for mesh over Bluetooth for group riding.
Built to be left on the helmet
IP67, so rain, snow and washdowns are a non-event, and Auto On/Off means it wakes when you do. The matte black shell is the least conspicuous unit Cardo make.
In the box
