The Nemo Aurora Highrise Footprint is the fitted groundsheet for the Aurora Highrise, Nemo's standing-height family tent. It is a tough, waterproof polyester sheet cut to the shape of the tent floor, with webbing tabs at each corner and a mesh bag to carry it in.
What it does
A big family tent gets pitched on whatever ground the campsite offers: a gravel pad at a national park campground, a sandy flat behind the dunes, a paddock studded with sticks and burrs. The footprint goes down first and takes all of that, so the floor of your Aurora Highrise does not. On a tent that sees school holidays year after year, that is many more seasons out of the floor.
It earns its keep on pack-up day too. After a wet night the mud and sand stay on the footprint, which shakes clean and travels in its own bag, and the tent goes home far cleaner.
Because it is sized to the tent's floor, the footprint sits underneath without a margin poking out to catch rain and run it under the tent.
Which tents it fits
This footprint is made for the Nemo Aurora Highrise. Choose the size that matches your tent: the 4 Person footprint goes under the Aurora Highrise 4 Person, and the 6 Person footprint under the Aurora Highrise 6 Person. Each is cut to its own tent's floor, so the two sizes do not swap.
The webbing tabs at the corners connect the footprint to the tent's corners, which keeps it square under the floor through the night instead of creeping out one side.
Looking after it
Clear sharp stones and sticks before you lay it out; the footprint is there for the ones you miss. At the end of the trip shake off the dirt, and at home hang it until it is completely dry before you roll it back into the mesh bag.
