Add 300 ml of boiling water to a single serve, stir, seal the pouch and wait a few minutes. Then eat straight from the pouch. There is no pot to clean, which saves water and time at camp. Carry the empty pouch out with your rubbish.
A single serve is 100 g dry and makes 400 g of food, which is a light dinner after a big day. If you are walking hard or carrying a heavy pack, take the XL (125 g dry, 500 g prepared) or add a side such as a snack bar or soup.
All three meals we currently stock are vegetarian: Spicy Mexican Beans, Vegetarian Pasta Medley and Cauliflower and Pea Dahl. We don't carry any meat meals at the moment. Ask us if you are after a particular flavour.
No. Campers Pantry is an Australian maker of freeze-dried meals. Backpacker's Pantry is a separate brand from the United States, and we don't stock it. If you are after an Australian-made freeze-dried meal for hiking or camping, Campers Pantry is the one we carry.
Campers Pantry: freeze-dried meals made in Australia
Campers Pantry Expedition Meals are made in Australia and freeze-dried. Freeze-dried food is light to carry and keeps for a long time, so a few pouches can live in the bottom of your pack between trips. Hikers, paddlers and four-wheel drivers use them for the same reason: a hot meal with almost no work.Campers Pantry: freeze-dried meals made in Australia

Eating well on the track
On a multi-day walk like the Overland Track or the Larapinta, a hot dinner in the pouch means no pot to scrub and no washing-up water to find. Your whole camp kitchen can be a stove, a mug and a spoon. Carry the empty pouch out with you. See our camp stoves and cookware for the rest of the kitchen.
