When you surge, stand or change pace, the frame rides forward and back with you instead of kicking the bike sideways, which is exactly the moment most riders wobble off a set of rollers.

What it is

A folding three-drum roller with parabolic drums, a cable-suspended floating chassis and magnetic resistance you set by hand on the central drum. No clamp, no power cable: put the bike on, pick a level and ride.

Who it's for

Riders who want the skills side of indoor training, a smoother pedal stroke, a quieter upper body and better line holding, without the nervousness of old-school rollers. The floating frame makes the Quick-Motion a good first set of rollers, and it carries enough resistance for real endurance sessions when the weather shuts the hinterland roads. It also suits racers who want a warm-up they can fold into the car.

Key details

Floating frame: slides fore and aft with your pedalling, softening pace changes and out-of-the-saddle efforts

Parabolic drums: the drum ends are shaped to steer the wheel back to the middle

Three magnetic levels: light for spin-ups and technique, middle for steady endurance, heavy for low-cadence strength; up to 425 W at 40 km/h

Fit: road, gravel, mountain and city bikes; front drum adjusts through 11 positions for 944-1144 mm wheelbases

Storage: 11.5 kg, folds into three with a built-in handle; 52 x 45 x 30 cm folded

Load: 110 kg maximum

Data: add Elite's optional Misuro B+ sensor to send speed and cadence over ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart to My E-Training, with estimated power

How it compares

Against the Elite Arion Mag, the Quick-Motion adds the floating frame and folds smaller.
